WHEN

When my brain wasn't at rest
when my mind was boiling beyond the boiling point

when all my body systems were in commotion

when life smiles hard to me

when my hands were too weak to write
when my ear was too restless to listen

Then,I searched the deep and the high
I travelled both long and wide
I bury my head in search for help
I mutter words of encouragement but it sounds discouraging
I searched books,they're more of dead words without life in them
I searched for friends,but they all turned an enemy
I searched for foes,they become agonizingly tough and terrific
I searched for the wise,they prove too proud
I searched for the fool,they're too humble to reply

I am now hemmed down in the dungeon of betrayal
I am now bearing my cross
I am now in between the red sea
I am now an enemy to all
I am now a no-man's friend
I am now playing solitaire on my mat in the night
I am now a wanderer in the garden of wisdom
I am now deserted like a thorn
I am now dancing to my song alone
I am now talking myself all the day

Ooh! Life can be somehow frustrating
hmm! Life can be somehow challenging
oops! Life can be somehow confusing
chai! Life can be somehow upside down
yeh! Life can be somehow unpallatable and highly bitter.

Now,I stopped
Now,I think
Now,I reason
Now,I want to be out of these frustrating moment
Now,I want to break out of my cocoon
Now,I want to shine
Now,I want to glow
Now,I want to soar up like eagle

But it all look impossible!

But as I put down my sleeping garment,
I looked straight to the sky
I saw how beautiful the sky was
I saw the beauty of nature
I saw a rising smiling sun
I saw the handiwork of Almighty
ooh! I smilled

Then,the assurance came
Then,the nature defines the bright future that's ahead of me
Then,the creator of the universe breath hope into me

He restored my strength
He told me,'My plan for you is beautiful'
He told me,'No matter what you've passed through,your future is certain'
He told me,'those that deserted you will soon rally round you to drink from your pool of wisdom'
He told me,'be calmed,I'll fight for you and you'll hold your peace'

I stood up laughing
I styllishly smile
I walk about with radiance of hope
I put aside every obstacles
I careless about failing friends and tormenting foes
I do not worry myself about what people're thinking about me.
I put aside negtive thought
I put on the toga of positive thinking
Because the ANCIENT OF DAYS HAD SPOKEN

Friends,it doesn't matter what you're passing through,don't be tossed to and fro by people's mockery/comments,but look up to your creator to gain a full control over your failure.
Remember that:when you're failing,you're not a failure yet,just keep keeping on.

‪BEYOND‬ YOUR ABILITY

Obviously,these are certain situations of life whose magnitude on us is undeniable.Sometimes,those situations look agonizingly tough that you're about to give up.At this point,there's nothing to hide from other believers because you're already sinking.However,in this hopeless state you're left with the question:what would I do?
Let's briefly bring this pressing issue under the magnifying lens of the word of God.
2Corin 1 vs 8 says '...we were crushed and overwhelmed beyond our ability to endure,and we thought we would never live through it-NLT'
This was the sincere confession and account of apostle paul stating his ordeals/traumatic experience with all sincerity of purpose to the church at Corinth.And you can see that the statement looked somehow negative.It shows that there's no magic to wriggle out of the hands of death.They're hemmed down in the dungeon of problem and hopelessness.Paul said '..and we thought we'd never live through it' The simple challenge here is that;what're the situations you're passing through presently and it seems as if you'll never squirm out of it? Is it financial problem? Relationship problem? Admission problem? to mention but a few.All of these crushed and overwhelmed you that you've lost the battle to the devil and drifting with the tide.What's that problem that has exceeded the elastic limit in your life? Name it! Oooh! Don't be manipulated by every cause and craze!
The following verse by way of extension i.e vs 9 says '..In fact,we expected to die...' Now,it seems apostle paul was exaggerating the size of their problems but that does not seemed so.By implication,it seems that the situation is about taking the breath out of you because nothing gives you the hope of surviving/weathering the storm again.In fact,many were overwhelmed to the extent of committing suicide.Don't give up yet,that problem can't take your life as we consider the rest of vs 9.
It says 'We stopped relying on ourselves,and learned to rely on God,who raises the dead'
It then become crystal clear to me from apostle paul's statement that the only factor that has been throwing them from one degree of problem to others is self-reliance.This is applicable to you as well.You've been relying on yourself and that is why the problem appears to be gargantuan.
He(paul) said,'we stopped' meaning that they've been depending on self-effort,leaving God out of their schedules and strategising various means to be delivered but all was in futility.They relied on the head-knowledge and experience as an apostle which failed them woefully.It's at this point they realised that they must pegged self-reliance and shift to the side of God-depending on him.The question is that;are you relying on God or devicing methods to excel on your own without consulting God? Are you not saying,'I can do it on my own self' when you need 'give it to God' Are you not depending on your wealth of experience?
If this is the way you're operating,circumstances of life will always weigh you down.Do your part and do not do that of God.Let Him do what he need do ,shift your attention from yourself and turn to God in the same way apostle Paul did.
Your success and breakthrough is certain if you relied on Him.
Verse 10 says 'And he did rescue us from mortal danger,and he will rescue us again.We've placed our confidence in him,and he'll continue to rescue us'
By relying on God,they're rescued,but relying on themselves,they failed.What're you putting your confidence into? Money? Knowledge? Influence? Position? Parents? Friends? Pastors? etc.You'll certainly receive from those you put your confidence into but in a dissapointing way.
Kindly do away with confidence on a mortal man that can't play out well,but let your confidence stand in God.
Though,that problem may be beyond your ability to endure,but if you can trust and rely on God,you're on a winning side.

THE MIRROR

I don't need tell you who will emerge as the winner when it comes to the issue of staying behind the mirror between the male and female folks because no one can win the pig in the game of dirt.Ladies can do this better than boys,and you know why that should be.Am not criticing looking at the mirror because it's a means by which we access how perfectly dressed we're.If a man dressed up,he would looked at the mirror may be to adjust his tie.And if it's a lady,she'd do this to ensure that the powder applied is not in excess,making her look gorgeous and moderate.Without exaggeration,some people can stand behind the mirror for an hour and more than that all in the name of physical outlook.
We can then arrive at this logical conclusion that;mirror reflects our excesses and inadequacies as far as obeying the code of dressing is concerned.
However,the physical usefulness would serve as a platform to explain the spiritual implication of what this means.Just as you've the mirror that keeps you in a better shape and figure,so also we've spiritual mirror that helps build your spiritual aspect of life and that's the SCRIPTURE.
Hear what the scripture says so as to verify the verisimilitude of this claim.'Every scripture is God-breathed(given by His inspiration) and profitable for instruction,for reproof[and],conviction of sin,correction of error,{and} discipline in obedience,[and] for training in righteousness (in holy living) in conformity to God's will in thought,purpose and action-2Tim 3:16 Amp.
Note from the verse that it says 'every scripture' not a 'part of it' then you must know that in the mirror of God you search all.You've to move from one scripture to another until you become perfect.When it's every,you must know more that 'John 3:16 which you've learnt from your primary school days.
The summary of this scripture is that;the mirror of God work on you to live a righteous live which is simply in conformity to God's will in thought,purpose,and action.You'd be made holy so that your outward appearance would be holy as well.
However,the only way to be corrected,instructed et al by the mirror of God is to spend quality time studying and meditating on it.Listen,the more you look at a mirror,the more you adjust yourself,which implies that,the more you study the scripture,the more you see yourself clearly in the mirror of God.The question is that;how many hours are you devoting to the word of God daily? If you can spend an hour behind the normal mirror,while not the spiritual mirror of God? Just as you can't do away with the mirror in your house,don't part away with the word of God!
Search the scripture to weigh yourself on the weighing balance of God.
Your spiritual make up is not yet complete,if you've not looked at the mirror of God daily.
After you've been perfected by the mirror of God,then others would be able to see themselves through you.You become a standard/mirror for others which would ultimately lead them to God.
Don't go out today,without looking at the mirror of God!

HOW TO MANAGE DISAPPOINTMENT

I know how hurtful it's when somebody promised to take you to heaven,but failed to do so(lols..).Conclusively,many a promise had been made to you but those that promised failed 'woefully' to see to their promise.Sincerely,I know that unfulfilled promise do cause emotional and psychological disorder.Have been through many of them,and I really know how painful it's.
The bitter truth is that,you'll always create hatredness for the person because of his/her failure to keep to the promise made.Am telling you,anytime you see the person the memory of what he promised will instantly sounds in your cranium.That's normal anyway.
However,being a victim of unfulfilled promise(s),I've changed my ideas about this reocurring decimal.So,I'll do well to discuss this from a general point of view and give a concise way forward to it.
At a point in time,I arrived at this logical conclusion that 'Human beings are the best disappointing instrument in life' and reasons for that need no further analysis.
But to avert being hurt,don't expect much from people,at the same time see them as a human being that's not sufficient and vulnerable to failure.
In most cases,the person may want to help,but due to some unexpected personal responsibilities,s/he must carefully reconsider his scale of preference leading to the lost of what he promised you.
Don't hate the person for disappointing you,but love them because they're not God.If it's God,you can be confident that he'll do it.The sincere question here is this;how'd you be able to define man better than God,if your demands by the man is met always?
Agree to the fact that you and I are limited,it's only God that's not limited.You can equally help the person with prayer that God'll strengthen him/her to fulfil the promise.
The fact that they failed you does not mean that they can't be of further help to you in future.Joseph would expect that the guy he helped would announced him instantly to the king but it wasn't so.It was after 2 years before the guy remembered him.What'd you expect Joseph to do in those 2 years? To hate the guy or commit suicide? Of what help would hating the guy do him? Activities in the palace might even choked up the guy to have time remembering Joseph.That's the same story of some that weren't able to fulfil the promise made to you.They've forgotten that they promised you.Don't waste time hating the person.
By way of conclusion,God expects you to put your trust in him,not in people because it's impossible to look up to the sky and to the ground at the same time.The simple formula is that;if it works,thanks to God,and if not,thanks to him also, for all will always together for the good of those that love God.
Trust more on God because He'll not fail.

WHY WASTING YOUR LIFE?

Oops! I've wasted another prime day in my life time on this same planet-earth.How'd I regained this lost time? If I can just turn the hands of the clock to the fresh of the morning,that'd have been better.I achieved nothing meaningful today! Ooh! I was chatting and gisting since morning,and now the day is about to close.How do I plunged myself into all these mess? Procrastination styllishly stole away my precious time.The song of tomorrow is there for me,cunningly make today pass away without achieving something worths pointing to.What a waste of life? Hmm,who'll teach me about time management.

Conclusively(i.e without any doubt),I'm sure that's how a handful number of us sound as we daily waste our life by wasting our time.This becomes a reoccuring figure because we take pleasure in irrelevant things on a daily basis.For this reason,we'd put much flesh to how wisely you can manage your time.
However,let me shock you that,for the time wasted,no scientific calculation can be used to solve this out.Isaac Newton would found it difficult to give a concise equation to bring back those wasted time.You can't change the workings of the nature,but you can change your attitude of the past to better your today and tomorrow.
I've this understanding that,worthless issues of life makes us watch our time rolling away from us.If you live your life the way it comes to you,you'll definitely leave the world the way you don't like.The power to wisely gain control of living a fulfiling day lies in you,therefore the choice to live right depends on you,since life is a choice.
Let me draw a contrart in a jiffy here.David was wasting his life at home when he's needed on the battlefield,and this gave the devil the avenue to gain a full access of his time that day that he fell sexually because he was watching porn movie from the top of his house.He was not focused,so he browsed what he should not,leading to a great bitterness in his life.The aftermath of this was so traumatic for David as you know.Now,coming down to Jesus,he understood the concept of time graphically that he said,'I must to do the work of Him that sent in the day,for the night cometh when no man can work' That shows that Jesus'd not play with his time like David because it's one of the keys to the fulfilment of his purpose.Let me leave you here to make a choice between the two.
If you get no direction on how you should live your life,you'll always go around doing the needless leading ultimately to sin.
The sincere advice here is that,wake up each morning and draw a realistic plan of how you want to spend your day.Ask yourself of reasonable stuffs you can engage yourself in that'll better your living than those useless things you've been doing.If you occupy yourself with serious issues,your friends won't have access to tell you one foolish thing that do not add up to your success in life.S/he would not come to tell you what Busayo or Deji done to him/her.
She won't come to your house 'to do ofofo' of what erupted as a volcanic eruption between Taye and Kehinde.Once s/he discovered that you're always busy,s/he would stay away from you.But if you're a type that feeding on other people's issue is your lucrative job,life'd not make sense to you.If today pass you by again without achieving something reasonable,you're digging up your early grave bit by bit.
You must note that,'a time wasted,is a life wasted' While you're chatting from the morning till the night on social networks,you must check yourself bcause you need deliverance.No matter how sensible your discussions may be,you must atleast have a personal time for yourself,and now that all you're discussing is a useless one,you should better know that that's the wasting of life of the highest order.Practically,I put away my phone when I need full concentration.Carefully do a thorough evaluation of those things choking you up which in the wise render your time useless.The value you place on your time determines your life's value.
Waste no time,draw up plans for each day,and you'll enjoy your life.
Remember that,once it's lost,you can't have it back

THE JOSEPH YOU DON'T KNOW

I was anchoring a sunday class precisely last year,treating a topic that is centered on Joseph,one of the popular character of the bible.Joseph's story is just an interesting one and good biblical character when it comes to the issue of rising from gnawing problems to a great position.I'll not be wasting time to expound on various lessons to be learnt from Joseph,but I'll do good in discussing this visionary boy from the response of somebody in my sunday school class on that glorious sunday.The word has kept on crossing my mind anytime I thought about Joseph.The response given by the person by way of compendium was that;'Joseph will never reached the position he yarned or desired,if he's of the mindset of treating the fuck up of his betrayals(i.e his brothers' or 'showing them' You may call that an hypothesis,but I'm seeing it beyond what you call it.I want to take the statement as a fact because I've ruminated over it well.Naturally,the expectation of every human being is that Joseph would locked up his devilish brothers when the chance to do that was widely opened.However,contrary to what you and I may think good,it wasn't so in the case of Joseph.As Joseph sat in the cell playing solitaire,he had plenty of time to stew in the juices of bitterness.But he didn't! Joseph was not thinking of how he'll subject them to punishment or hard labour when he climbed the throne of authority.In fact,his thinking was far away from what they've done.He put away the thought of turning his betrayals to bitterness and was not thinking much about them for he knew that they're platform for his success in life.
Then,I discovered that the greatest barrier to your vision/dream is to spend the whole of your days considering how somebody hurts you and how badly you'll deal with that person when you attaine your desired position.That'll be disastrous! Hey! You must get your attention forcused and sideline those that're ready to jeopardize your ambition.Bishop Oyedepo said that,'If you look at opposition,you'll lose position' Joseph must have the knowledge of this simple fact which kept him going.
Though,he lawfully had the power of life and death over them,but chose to welcome them with brotherly love.Don't crave for a position because you want to use it as an avenue to revenge or pay back the evil done to you.The more you think about that,the more restricted your motion in life would be.Be like Joseph who didn't wallow in self-pity,and he didn't soak in a hot-tube of bitterness.Let go those people and know that they will form part of your story of greatness in life.
Steve Farrar put it well by saying,'If you're focusing on some person or what they did to you,you'll not finish strong' Always know that;'God is able to take the hateful and hurtful motivations of your enemies and used them to accomplish His plan in your life'.Don't forget that;God is in charge of your life-and over all events and circumstances that touch you in any way.If you get there,forget about what they've done to you,forgive them,for by so doing Romans 12 vs 21 would be fulfilled.
Once again,don't crave for positions with the mindset of 'showing them'
If you've the list of those people that you'll not show an atom of mercy to when you become great,kindly tear the list because it won't help you as you journey in life.Those that deposited something good into your life,and those that did the opposite are the stepping stones to your greatness.
Let go,because you're going places.

SHARING YOUR VISION

The most difficult aspect of life is sharing your vision with people because of lack of trust.Obviously,the idea here is that nobody can be trusted taking into consideration our human nature and being which makes us to be highly prone to deceit.No enough words can be said to rekindle the hope of some people to share their vision with others because they know how costly it was-being a victim of such.Jesus himself shared his vision with the twelve disciples,but Judas Iscariot turned a jeopardising instrument that betrayed him not confidentially but face to face.Joseph also shared his vision with his family members and from that time upward,his brothers took up satan's assignment to bring his vision to a staggering halt.He was stripped of his position in the family,but not his purity.He was stripped of his family,but not his future.He was stripped of his coat,but not his character.You know the rest of the story.
However,I'm seeing this topic beyond the prism of the common belief as far as sharing of vision is concerned.I've come to the point of knowing the fact that in most cases if you hold your vision close to your chest,you'll never have it materialized.At the same time,if out of being careless,you let out your vision to 'everybody',you'll certainly pay for it.Then,what's the difference between the two? The significant difference between the two depend on the quality of people you're sharing your vision with.If you share your vision with 'everybody' you may have a regret of your action and that's why you must meticulously guide your vision.The type of people you share your vision with must be people of like passion who shares the same vision with you.They must be people that're vision-driven and not a visionless man because a visionless man will reduce you to his own state of visionlessness for the fact that he is making no progress.Such people are always anti-vision! Joseph's brother were void of vision and that's why they pick up satan's assignment to send the boy into extinction.I'm pretty sure that if you get right people,they'll sincerely help you and provide the necessary materials to make your vision a realistic one.
These are people that must come into your life so as to make you a better person,the only problem is finding who they are.
It's worthy of note again and again that,don't share your vision with 'everybody' but get special and vision-oriented friends that're not vision consumers that can help you as you journey in your various endeavours.
Above all,let God be the Grand Commander of your vision and it's my utmost believe that you'll surely fulfil purpose.

HOW MANY OF US WILL ROT IN JAIL?

I cannot help but break my deliberate effort of staying off social media for some days tonight because of this silly and obnoxious motion waiting for its acceptance and to be signed into the law.Am not careful of this article adding me up to the numbers of people in our various prison yards across the country.Because this piece is another one speaking our government to face on illogical motions they've been signing and the one to be signed.
Simply,they want by means of law determine those that live and those that ends up in the jail by engineering motions that the goats and fowls know that it's baseless and out of sense.
How imagineable is this;that those appointed to be our leaders would wake one day out of their bed of foolishness and move a motion of sending activists which made use of social media to criticise the evil and horrendous behaviours of the government to 7 years imprisonement or pay a fine of 5 million naira.Where on earth is that done?
Then,how can we define 'freedom of speech'?
The question we ought to ask here is that;Why must they be jailed for spitting out their minds on what's going wrong with the system? Do we vote them in to lord over every good and bad works they do? I can better leave you to answer those questions.
Sincerely,this country of ours is the one that is full of unending dramas when it comes to how our leaders think,giving less attention to pressing issues and creaming irrelevant ones.
It's in this same country that some people embezzled and divert the public funds into their private accounts without being brought to book.Stella Oduah is the latest of them.Gradually,her case is rolling away,yet they expect us to keep mute.
What's the essence of a nation where the voice of the masses are not made to rise up?
I want to believe that this's another level of glorifying madness among our lawmakers.Without any iota of doubt,I'm pretty sure that this will not hold water and nigerians will not be discouraged fighting for their right even if the motion is passed by the dragon.
And if they will be serious about this,how many of us will rot in jail?

AS YOU ENTER INTO DECEMBER.

Before I go further in this piece,I'd like you to understand with me that the piece is not put up to create a space for fear in your heart neither is it meant to scare you pertain to the erroneous belief and assertions that're always ascribed to December by people.This one thing I hate;I hate magnifying the devil at the expense of God.I discovered that we speak more of the devil in the stead of Jesus,not knowing that devil's power is not half that of Jesus.I'd rather magnify Jesus by telling the devil how great my God is.
Apostles paul was not void of his antics when he says that,'we're not ignorant of the devices of the devil' That should tell you that the Lord Almighty has expounded unto us all the strategies of the devil by the Holy Spirit.
Therefore,we need no fear or over-estimate the power ignorantly attributed to the devil.
Having this understanding,I'd like to dive into the word of God which will help sustain and keep us through the month.Jesus in Matt 22:29 says 'you run into error because you don't know the scripture or the power of God'
With this biblical understanding,I'd like you to go with me into the book of Acts chapter 28,the last chapter of the book which simply depictmay the last month of the year.As simple as this may be,it's worthy of note to take a keen attention to it.Verse 6 of the scripture says '...the people expected him to swell up or suddenly fall dead,but after waiting a long time and seeing nothing unusual happen to him,they changed their minds and said he was a god' Obviously,the journey of Paul ever before this verse could be likened to a start of struggle from the beginning of his ministry.He was moving from one degree of problem to another all in the name of fulfiling God's purpose.He was falsefully accused,he was jailed,and attempts were made to terminate his life.But all couldn't hold water or stand against him.In this journey, he landed safely on shore,something tragic in verse 3 occurred,it reads '..a viper,driven,out by the heart,fastened itself on his(paul's hand.When this happened,the people around were earnestly waiting for his death.
The implication of this biblical verse is that;just as you've started from the beginning of this year like apostle paul,putting up strategies to fulfil God's purpose in your life,it has been a release of different dimension of struggle.You've faced alot of hurdles of life,situations around you look unyielding,mountains to climb grows higher befor you,and it be like you're at a mediocre equilibrium though you're progressing.You've been nursing some ideas terrifically in your mind,striving day in day out to see to its success.But as desperate as you are,the sad and dismal aspect of these scenario is that the devil is still cooking up plans to see you remain at the lowest part of the ladder and to fall.In the same way those guys were expectantly looking forward to the fall of apostle Paul.People in the same way are standing ramrod waiting for your fall.
But thanks be to God the father of our Lord Jesus that their expectation was not met,they wait and wait in vain which made them to conclude that 'Apostle paul is a god'
Now,my sincere prayer for you and which should be your prayer point is that 'Those that waits for your fall as the year runs out will wait and wait in vain in Jesus name.You'll fulfil purpose and they'll come to testify to the goodness of the Lord in your life IJN'

WHY YOU ARE MAD

Without any iota of doubt,the above topic sounds insultive and very odd to the ear.knowing that you'll not hesitate to throw me stones,I'll appeal that you spare me some minutes of your time to read the whole of this piece before you decide my judgement.The simple fact here is that;whether you're mad or not'd be a product of several justification after certain things have been established from the biblical understanding.Filtering this topic through the grids of the bible will help clear your mind so as to gain some altitude.
Let's turn our bible to the book of Acts chapter 26:24 which says 'And as he thus proceed(Paul) with his defense,Festus called out louldly,Paul you're mad! Your great leaning is driving you insane.
Paul's story or trial begins at Acts 23 and runs all the way to the end of the book in Chapter 28.If you're not familiar with paul,it's a story worth reading.But for our purposes,allow me to give a thumbnail sketch of Paul's life in a jiffy.
Before his encounter with Jesus on his way to Damascus, he was a fanatics that takes pleasure in persecuting the church.This life-threatening experience made the apostles to be scattered,yet Paul pursued them.It was on this ministry of persecution that he met Jesus and his life was changed.From that time upward,Paul was suffering from the hands of the Jews that believeth not in Christ becausf of his passion to share the gospel.It's in the course of this he was delivered to Felix,then to Festus,and Festus beseeched Agrippa to hear paul's side of defense for he was dazed.Bro.Paul was able to set his defense straight forward by sharing his old ways of life and then preach christ which he confessed before Agrippa.As he was talking,Festus perceived that Paul was full of biblical knowledge(God's knowledge) that's irrefutable.This made Festus to jump into conclusion, saying ' Paul you're mad!' Can you see the exclamatory mark? That tells you that Paul's cerebral grandstanding is beyond Festus's carrying capacity.Festus should've put it better by saying 'Paul,you're an Emeritus!'
Any which way,Fesus said 'Paul is mad'
However,these questions are worth asking:Why was he not mad when persecuting the church? Why was he not accused of persecuting the church then?
From the above questions,I discovered that by the world standard,believers are tagged to be mad if they're not dancing to the beat of the world that barrels down the express way to hell.You're not mad if you dressed indescently,but you're if you choose to remain descent.You're not mad if you're fornicating,but you're if you keep yourself holy.You're not mad if you're an alcoholic,but you're when your are not.
The above defined the world standard of judging madness.
In this age of ours,choosing to remain holy,descent and godly is being termed as over-spirituality which is equated to 'Christianity Madness' That's when you see people making jest of you by calling you all sorts of name.When you carry your bible going to the church,they shout loudly like Festus 'THE SUs'
This simple fact I want you to know that:anytime you part away with the worldy things and give attention to the firm teaching of the word of God,expect insults that're highly annoying.Expect false accusations,but don't be moved.They'll call you a fanatics because of christ,don't worry.
The undeniable fact is that,a mad man will always see others as mad fellow.Regardless of what is said of you because of your faith,don't drift with the tides.It's better you're a mad man on earth because of Christ than to be turned mad in hell fire.If Festus realised Paul's response in verse 25,he'd know that he is the one being tormented with madness.
No matter how the word 'madness' is being defined by the world's standard,do not join the league of the unholy people.Let your centre of focus be christ.
Festus said that 'great learning is driving you insane' Let people see you learning the way of God.If they see that they'll confess that you're mad for christ because your biblical knowledge is beyond comprehension.
Keep focus in the face of insults and be not discouraged when you're called names that're insultive.

BURN THOSE BOOKS

I surmise I heard someone say 'Hey! What do you mean Isaac?' To burn my books? Is like you're having the water and blood of destruction running through your body systems.It's either you're dreaming or out of your mind.Don't you know that 'Readers are Leaders?' That's right! I understand how you feel about this.But for your information,not all books set you on rein and that's why you must burn them.

However,I want you to go with me as we'll be filtering this stuff through the grids of the bible.
As I was studying the scripture for 'TheLAfamily' which was taken from the book of Acts,my attention was drawn to a particular bible verse in Chapter 19 while reading the passage for the second time.Acts 19:19 says, 'A number of them who had been practicing sorcery brought their incantation books and burned them at Public bonfire.The value of the books was several million dollars-NLT'
Am pretty sure you've no incantation books,but there is a book you're holding in your hands that has been driving you fast for a long time on a freeway of sexual gratification.The unchanged and unblemished truth is that the devil suckered you to buy those books and movies but you knew it not.Straightly,the book is nothing more than 'Porn literatures'.For this purpose,I'd prefer the word 'Porn materials' Can you remember the last time you chose to buy porn materials in the stead of christian/inspiring novels?Thank God you did.These materials are your incantation books as well if you don't know.They're a sort of platform for you to be fully baptised into the school of immoralities.To you it may be alluring because it satisfies your lustful desires,but you've forgotten that; immoralities is like a degenerative eye disease that gradually change your great future into a grim one.Just stop for a minute and think of the psychological and emotional trauma you're confronted with after watching or reading them(porn materials).Don't forget David.He can be used as a classic prototype for the world of today.After David had watched the porn movie satisfactorily,he pressed the action button and he was never the same after the adultery.Sexual immorality shipwrecked him.Steve Farrar put it so well by saying,'Before his shipwreck with Bathseba,David's life was characterised by triumph.After the shipwreck,there is only one word that described the rest of David's life:Trouble'

That's exactly the same result of your voracious appetite for sleazy materials.Unless you burn/delete those things,you're on a long way down the wrong road.Kindly fish them out,destroy them before they send you packing and burning in hell! Fine,you're right Isaac.So,what's the way out.I want to sincerely stop you from this headlong plunge into this disaster.
The truth is that,it may not be easy but it takes determination.Just fish them out,destroy them,mind not how expensive they're.If it's on your phone,delete it but don't destroy yovr phone(lols..).Then,ask for forgiveness from the Jaws of Life (i.e Jesus).Well,to make the memory out completely may not be easy,but by feeding/concentrating your mind on the word of God and godly things.By this,you'll squirm out of it.Remember Colossians 3 vs 2 which says 'Set your affection on things above,not on things on the earth'.The next time the devil throws up that one sin in your face,tell him to take a long walk off a short pier!

To wrap up this piece,Steve Farrar put it succinctly by saying,'You've an accelerator and you've a brake.When it comes to sin,you need to hit the brake.Stop now.Put a bumper sticker that says 'I Brake For Hidden Sin'
The book of wisdom i.e Proverb 20:17 says, "Bread of deceit is sweet to a man;but afterwards his mouth shall be filled with gravel.
Burn it! Destroy it! Confess Your sin! Live a Holy life by renewing your mind that you may prove what is that good,and acceptable and perfect,will of God-Romans 12:2.

THE RACE OF LIFE 102

Defeat! He lay there silently,a tear dropped from his eye.
"There's no sense running anymore-three strikes,
I'm out-why try?"
The will to rise had disappeared,all hope had fled away,
so far behind,so error prone,closer all the way
I've lost,so what's the use," he thought,
"I'll live with my disgrace"
But then he thought about his dad who
soon he'd have to face.
"Get up," an echo sounded low,
"Get up and take your place.
You were not meant for failure here,
so get up and win the race"
"you haven't lost all,
For winning is not more than this-to rise each time you fall"
So up he rose to win once more,an with a new commit,
He resolved that win or lose,atleast he wouldn't quit.
So far behind the other now,the most he'd ever been.
still he gave it all he had and ran as though to win.
Three times he'd fallen stumbling
three times he rose again.

Too far behind to hope to win,he still ran as he crossed,
first place,
Head high and proud and happy;no falling,no disgrace.
But when the fallen youngster crossed the line,last place,
The crowd gave him the greater cheer
for finishing the race.
And even thoug he came in last,
with head bowed low,unproud;
You would have thought he won the race to listen to the crowd.
And to his dad he sadly said
" I didn't do so well"
"To me,you won,"his father said
"You rose each time you fell"

And now when things seem dark and difficult to face
The memory of that little boy helps me in my race.For all of life is that race;

with ups and downs and all,
And all you have to do to win -is rise each time you fall
"Quit! Give up,you're beaten," they still shout in my face
But another voice within me says,
" Get up and win that race"-Author unknown
Oooo! How I wish you read and re-read this poem onehundred and one times with a perculiar attention to get some meats on why you don't need give up.Sincerely I understand how you feel;you've failed or you're failing and think that there is nothing to bring out of life again,you're hemmed in the dungeon of failure and you've decided to make it your dwelling home or habitat,but this is the good news:you can still make it by changing your present mental design about failure.Rise up, and move,for you're destined to win.Break out of your cocoon to shine.
All you need to do to win -is to rise each time you fall.
Yes,three strikes! But never get out of the race.

THE RACE OF LIFE 101

The opportunity of being an athlete atleast for a moment during my secondary school days podded me to pick up the withering tendrils of my pen and spit in verse what the real 'race of life' looks like.The memory of that day is still very bright and will linger in my non-volatile memory.I guess I'd tell my children about this.
Before the race,I was told that I'll only run for 100 $ 200 metre boys,so,I was prepared to give glory to my house masters at all cost.With internally generated force and determination,I came fist and second respectively.Don't ever think I'm Usain Bolt,but I always put my best to anything worthwhile.Oooh! Come and see sounds of irregular frequencies cheering me up,raining claps for me and jumping up and down like a frog.My head swelled up but never bursted(lols..).Well,you're always friends to people when you're succeeding.No wonder,Mother Teresa said 'when you're successful,you'll attract some false friends and true enemies' Everybody wants to be identified with you.At the end of the two races,it's like ending with apostle Paul's words that says 'I've finished my course...I'm now ready to depart!'
However,my own case was diametrically opposed to Bro.Paul's statement.So,what happened next? Out of blue(i.e unexpectedly),I was called upon to run with the 400 metre boys.Hearing this,my heart vibrated to its depth because I'll run a race that I never prepared for.Reason(s) for being the choice was probably because the person that should was missing or dulged it.I'm optionless,but sincerely I know that running with big boys won't be a bread and butter stuff.It's just a kind of David against Goliath contest.The whistle was blown and the speedometer was turned on.I make my veins to steam courage that I may outstand others,for what's worth living for is worth dying for.The race was running legato.The story swiftly changed on reaching more than the half of the race,my joules dropped and speedometer reads so low.Tiredness crept in.At this point,I gathered momentums to atleast make it to the end.Big boys with long legs don leave me for back.Although,I was not the only one lagging behind, yet was still trying to break others,but to no avail.Few of the audience were cheering me up that I can still do it while majority of those that praised me in the last two runs shifted their attentions away from me.I don't need tell you that when failure attendeth your ways like a flow of river,those that do love you'll loathe/disown you instantly.The temptation to quit was pressing and circulating in my body system,but I refused to compromised
Finally,I reached the finishing line not with my two feets standing but collapsed.I was carried like a baby from the ground.chai! I smelled hell that day.
Just like that I reached the destination though very stressful and energy consuming.My Joy was that I losed not the equilibrium-does not quit on the way.
Hmmm.The above illustration defines the race of life in its simplicity.The first two runs were so smooth which turned everybody a friend.Well done messages were sent for making it.Ooops! the second race wasn't easy;you'll be deserted by your bossom friends and those that congratulated you in your previous successes.
However,to keep moving,you must shun all discouraging words and let your spirit encourage you not to lose focus or quit at the middle of the race.Better it's to get there being the last than to quit halfway.
Don't expect the race of life to be so-so-smooth all the time.
Don't expect all to throw words of encouragement to you.Be the number one source of encouragement to yourself.If you'll not quit,you'll not fail.As much as you're determined to reach the finishing line,you'll get there.The race of life calls for determination,endurance,focus and self confidence.If people believe not in you,believe in yourself.In this journey,don't forget God.If you're ready for this race,be prepared to carry your cross yourself.Your parents can't help carry it,but can only encourage you.Your friends can't help run it,you run it yourself.Don't give up no matter how hard it's;you'll certainly get there and overcome the tracherous iceberg of life.Remember 'quitters never win'

WHY NOT AT THE SAME TIME?

You've come to ask why your friend has gained admission and you've not.Why your childhood friend is now working and you've not gotten any.Reasons why you don't have your own house,why others are building more than a house.Hmmm.Just as you ponder on necessary aspect and impetus ingredients of life missing in your life currently,you feel like committing suicide because you can't just imagine why the nature is working against you.Intimidations from equal colleagues make you look dejected and downcasted.And it seems as if there is no end in sight to your present state of hopelessness.Though,you're laughing,but in a real sense you're not happy.Sitting down alone,you think miles away and tears flow through your cheek to your mouth like a stream of water.Ooh! Your conclusion is that;you can't make it again.You wonder why you're created.Is like your case is worst than that of Job.Now you want to give up.I know how you feel and that's why I've come to bring back your fainting heart from the bottomless pit of hopelessness and to drop dose of encouragement into your mouth.Just stay calm and follow me on this voyage of knowledge.
Few days ago,I was passing through the street that leads to my Alma Mata,as I was going,I looked towards my left hand.Do you know what I saw? A barbing saloon shop.So,what does that needs to do with you? Ooh! You must know it!
As I was going,my spirit told me that;do you know that at a certain time you'll enter into the shop and the time you'll enter will not be the same with that of your friend(s) because the hairs on your heads won't grow at the same time? In the same vein,you may meet some people of your age or below having their hair-cut at the same time with yours.Everyone of you inside the barbing saloon will not cut the same style,isn't it? Yes,it's.After barbing,your friend will see you and feel jealous because you're looking handsomely beautiful(if there exist any english of such) isn't it?Yeah.But mind you,when it's time for your friend to enter the shop to barb also,he'll without any disturbance.Is that true? Absolutely correct! Your friend also came out looking spiffy and you feel jealous as well.Hmmm.Do you now see to it that at different space of time you entered and cut different hair-style?
And so that's how success in life is.You enter the barbing saloon shop with some set of people regardless of age and leave at the same time which shows those that you were able to make it altogether at the same time.Some entered before you,but the same thing is done to your hair but at different time.So,what's your pride?
Well,the above thought-provoking illustrations look somehow primitive but you can try look at it beyond the normal eyes.Obviously,you'll not both enter the place together but your success is pretty sure only that the time differs.As you wait patiently for your own time,you'll be celebrated by those that're ahead of you.So,friends,life is not all about worry since you know that you'll always get there.You may be walking so slow,but don't ever go back.Shake off and move forward regardless of odds of life,wait patiently on God for your own time.However,be ready to pay for the price,knowing fully well that after barbing your hair you'll/must pay.There is always a price for success as well,be ready to pay it.
Don't be ahead of God and don't be behind!
Don't be intimidated!
Don't give up!
Shake off and move on!
Press on to press through!
Wait on God and wait for your time!

ANANAIS & SAPPHIRA:BEYOND THE SUDDEN DEATH 101

I'm pretty sure that you know about these two chaps in the book of Acts,and what led to their instant death is not strange to you.But if you can't remember vividly,just turn your bible into Acts chapter 5 and you'll have a full understanding of the whole scenario.
However,this piece will be discussing about this family beyond the prism of the immediate destruction that fell on them.There may be one thousand and one hypothesis as regard their death.Some may believe that;they're not truly a born again christian,and to some,they're trying to play prank on God.
Well,we're not going towards that direction and so,I'll diffuse into the topic.
Acts 5 vs 1 says 'But a certain man named Ananais and Sapphira his wife sold possession' The possession were sold purposely because of other brethrens,they've their love and interest in their heart because that's the modus operandi in the early church.They were not forced to sell it,but it was sold willingly.
Vs 2 'And kept back part of the price,his wife also being privy to it...' You can be sure that convetousness drove them to do this.The conspiracy between both of them is a product of their unfaithfulness.They may be thinking that the money is too much to give to God in the way you as well do hold back your substances from God or even yourself,not ready to sacrifice for the work of God.
Their death is nothing to me but the etymological meaning of their name sounds interesting and how it relates to christian cycle would be the centre of focus.
It'll surprise you to know that,Ananais and Sapphira mean 'Grace' and 'Beauty'.Wao! What a nice name! However,as good as their name is,their action do not fit their conduct.They were disciples of christ and members of the apostolic church of which no man would belong unless he had a real experience of salvation.This we have to conclude that they're a born again christian because the church was hated and persecuted.Then,what podded 'Grace and Beauty' to deliberate and execute this sinister plan against the Holy spirit,behaving as though they're faithful?
Beyond this I see that their life is applicable to us as well in this age of ours.
Many are christian but not living up to the standard of what christianity is all about.We dwell among the brethren everyday,we sing,pray and perform some spiritual exercise together but our case is a sorry case like that of Grace and Beauty.Both thought that they can bribe God with what seems Okay to them.That connotes the attitude of many,after a sister/brother has fornicated,s/he will then enter the fellowship blowing tongues that is useless and awful to the auditory nerve of God.Thinking that a part and not whole of their being is enough for God.Well,other brethren would think s/he is being used by God not knowing that s/he is making sounds of different frequency.
The mentality here is that,going to church makes you a christian,but obviously that's not all about christianity.If you're not faithful to God,you're not a true christian.On sunday,many dress like an angel,but for the rest of the week,you wonder whether it's that same angel you worshipped with that has turned a masqerade.You may be born again like these two chaps but still having some issues to confront in your life.You may be bearing Phillip,John,Mary,even Jesus but that is not a ticket to heaven.If your ways of life negates the name you be,you need deliverance.
You may camourflage on sunday and for the rest of the days in the week you mingle with the world.You sing 'Holy are you Lord..' on sunday and on monday to saturday,it's 'Caro..' ; You listen to sermon on sunday,and porn films other days;you keep yourself holy today,and mess up on the lap of a lady/boy;you're high on the Holy spirit on sunday,but on entering the world,you're high on alcohol.
Consider all these if they truly show your identity in Christ.Examine yourself if you're not living contrary to what being a christian is all about.
You can't just be flagging the card of being a christian and end up being destroyed like Grace and Beauty.
Take time to evaluate yourself before it's too late.What're those little foxes that negates your christian life? Kow it and confront God with it before the rain of destruction fall on you.

ARE YOU PRESSED?

Seeing your age mates and bossom friends getting married,your parents pressed on you to do quick.And this is you that's not in any relationship not to talk of counting the number of years of your courtship.What will you do? Will you enter into a relationship with any man and marry ASAP?
Well,you can better answer it yourself.
I used the above thought-provoking illustration to explain a vital aspect of a christian life which will be uncovered as we go on.
Yeah,we've some other areas of life where people are being pressurized to get things done quickly even when what is needed to do so is not available but due to human behaviour,we push people do the right thing at the wrong time by measuring them up with those that have make it.
Then,from which perspective am I seeing this? Let's consider with intense attention the children of Isreal standing at the bank of the red sea when it seems as if their life would be terminated seeing the Egyptians coming behind with furiosity and anger.
The book of Exodus 14:11 says 'And they said to Moses,because there were no graves in Egypt,has thou taken us out to die in the wilderness...'
They(Israelites) were complaining and murmuring against Moses because death is about to drop on them.I wonder how Moses would feel at that hour of their murmuring.
Israelites were murmuring in the same manner your parents lament that; when're we to carry your baby? when're we to enter into your car? When're we to step into your house? When're we to see you doing this and that? They complain bitterly and you feel dejected and downcasted in the same way Moses would be beside the red sea.
Do you know that it,s possible for Moses to use human wisdom because the pressure is becoming much on him? But he never succumbed to his people as they were ready to tear him down.
What was his response in this state of dillema?
Moses voiced out in vs 13 '...Fear ye not,stand still,and see the salvation of the Lord..'
what a courageous word!
With this,I think that should be your response as well as you're being troubled to make decisions which may not be at the ripe hour.You keep your well-wishers calm by telling them that they should not fear about how things are going because it'll not continue ad infinitum.
In vs 14,he says 'the Lord shall fight for you,and ye shall hold your peace' Another words of hope. As at the time you're beside the red sea of life,your words should be 'The Lord shall fight for me,and I shall hold my peace' and see how stable your faith will be.Saying this gives assurance that there is a mighty God that has never lost a battle.
The most interesting part of this scripture is in vs 15 which says 'And the Lord said to Moses...' GOD spoke to him to tell him what is required of him.Moses was not perturbed by the cry of his people to forget the place of God speaking to him on the way out.Assuming he used his own wisdom,nothing meaningful would be recorded of the children of Isreal.
That implies that,when you're pressed,you should be ready to listen to God,the same way Moses does leading to the surprise of all.
Many out of being pressed make untimely decisions and was in haste because others have gone ahead of them without listening to what God's saying and they collapse at the end.
When you're pressed,press the number of God to know how to go about the dillema you're facing.
With faith,He'll see you through.

12 GREAT LESSONS FROM JOHN 15:1-8

A perculiar attention to the book of John 15:1-8 reveals 12 great lessons that are very expedient or germane to the growth of a christian.These verses unveil the guiding principles to be a fruitful christian,and am sure that if those principles are given an intense attention,the rapid growth of such a christian is indubitable.
Let me tell you that as a christian if you're not bearing fruit(s) you're not growing and not fulfiling the purpose of your existence as well.
However,the concept of bearing fruit can be understood from the physical knowledge of those factors that're paramount to the growth of fruits.In the physical realm,three essential environmental conditions must be fulfilled,which are;Fertile soil,water and sunlight.Having this understanding,we can better use the physical knowledge to explain the factors that will enhance spiritual fruitness.

Therefore,The Following Are The Great Lessons From The scripture(John 15:1-8)
1.God is the husbandman(v1).
2.Christ is the vine(v1,5).
3.Believers are brances in christ(v2,5).
4.Every fruitless branch 'in me' is cut off,withered,gathered with other dead branches and cast into the fire and burned(v2,6)
5.Every fruitful branch 'in me' is purged that it might be more fruitful(v2,5).
6.Every branch 'in me' is clean(pure in heart tby the word if walking in the light(v3,Mt 5:8,John 3:5,Ephesian 5:6).
7.Branches must 'abide in' christ and christ in them to produce fruit(v4,5).
8.The branch is helpless to produce fruitful of itself(v4,5).
9.Christ is helpless to produce fruit through the branch unless it remains in Him(vs4,6).
10.Branches must abide in Christ or be cut off and burned(v6).
11.Branches must not only remain in Christ but must have His words abiding in them or prayers will not be answered(7).
12.God can only be glorified by the branches when they remain in christ and produce much(v8).
The question is that;are you following g these principles to enhance your fruitfulness? Are you abiding 'in Him' (Jesus)? How much of His words you know?
Don't forget that for you to bear fruit,you must abide in Him.If you're not,you will be fruitless.
Jesus is ready to abide in you,if you're ready to abide in Him.
If you don't want to be burned,follow those guiding principles and you'll be glorified by the father which is the best reward of your fruitfulness.
Bear fruits to show forth the glory of God!

OKE-OGUN AND POLITICS

I'll not mind writing this piece at this crucial hour to sensitise and open our eyes to the bitter truth that we may not want to hear,due to political affiliations and differences in this part of the state most especially to the verstatile citizens of Oke-Ogun region of Oyo State and for as many that takes interest in the subject matter.Somebody may think that writing this piece is a product of being sentimental or being a loyalist to a particular political party,but I'll not like you delude yourself habitually in the fool's paradise by castigating me for being a political jingoist because of this pressing issue.The truth must be told and heaven will not fall.
Not to dilly dally,let me delve into the subject of discussion.
I've to ask myself if there exist a region called Oke-Ogun in this part of the state because everything is topsy-turvy here.The region is characterised with low development in which the the birds and fowls can testify to this.You can better access this by taking a microscopic view of your Local Government area if there exist any meaningful growth.Checking through the Local Newspapers,I'm always bemused seeing pictures of developmental projects being celebrated at the state capital meanwhile,all of these are not taking place in this region of ours.All we've here is a stupefying regression.It seems to me as if we're not living on the planet-earth,may be planet-Mercury.Yet they claim that there's an over all development in the state.Then,how can we judge the development that does not saturate the whole part of the state? I've come to argue this out with a friend,glorifying the developments in Oke-Ogun areas by pointing out to road expansion.But the question is that;of what importance is the road expansion that does not promote the econoy bouyancy of the region? I'm not saying that it's not good,but what of those rendered homeless without compensation?
With all sincerity,how many institutions are there in the region? Where is the promise of the technical school ? We can go on and mention as much as possible.The region is known as the food basket of the state,where're industries to improve this.Sentiment apart,the last administration does not neglect the people of the region as much as this.
In the face of this awful spectacle of absurdity,all we need ask is that where are the elders of the region that can jive in the oceans of politics? Have they refused to grow because of what they will eat? Have they sold their birthrights to people of their children's age? It's very shameful and odd to hear that the region which produced the deputy governor is suffering from doldrums of despodency,hopelessness and languishing in hell.Living as though they've nobody to take up their cries.Our case here is contrary to the popular Yoruba proverb that says 'A kii imo eniyan mefa lofa,ki Iya egbefa tu ma je ni' Some people's eyes have been blindfolded to the extent of celebrating the failure of the region on the newspapers,shying away from the truth.To make this piece more realistic,you don't have to look for an elephant with a magnifying lens in a room.How many commissioners came from Oke-Ogun region? We know the nos of commissioners chose at Oyo town.
What is the role(s

) of our representatives there? Are they really fighting for the region or fighting for their pockets?
I think that it's high time we must be realistic in our sense of thoughts and face the truth about the parlous state of this region lest we move from frying pan to fire.
On this note,I'm of a firm opinion that the citizens of Oke-Ogun must take their destiny in their hands.They should wake up from their heavy sleep because there won't be change unless we change the way we play our politics here.Enough of docility and following like Zombie.
There should be a sanctuary of reasoning,expecting no magic to wriggle out of this.Our destiny lies in our hands.
To close,I'll be thankful to those that will make it their lucrative job to castigate me on this matter.

THE WRONG MAN WITH WRONG DIRECTION

   As I was sitting down quietly some weeks ago,a lady came around and asked a guy for a description of a place, and the guy told her that she should be going in the same direction she's traveling. My attention was caught so, I pronto asked the lady the exact place she's going because I discovered that the guy gave a wrong direction to her. Her journey should be in opposite direction but for the fact that she knew not where she was going, she was given a wrong direction. 

   It'll only astound the lady at the end that she's on a wrong path and will be wandering around without a direction. Immediately I told her of the place, she thanked me.

In fact,where she's going is less than 5 mins walk but she was told to be heading towards the unknown-finding (x).And certainly,she'd waste alot of time going that direction .The only thing that surprised me was that,I expect the guy to know the place because it's a popular place.But how come that he gave a wrong description? So I challenged him.
   After her departure,on getting to my seat,I sense in my spirit the word 'The Wrong Man With Wrong Direction'.The vignette about the lady revealed to me the nature of satan and his ways of misleading people in the world.The devil knows the way but always ready to cover both the inner and outer eyes of a man with darkness so that s/he would waste the prime time within his/her reach.
And how does he feign people? The devil being a cunny fellow misleads people by lieing to them.Jesus in John 8:44 had a full knowledge of the devices,antics and instruments of the devil and He boldly said 'he(devil) is a liar',Jesus never stopped there,He said 'and the father of it' meaning that he gave birth to all forms of lies either you call it white or black lie,even you may customised it and said it's a big or small lie,it's certainly 'lies' and lie will always be lie.
   It becomes an easy task for the devil to deceive people because they are lovers of lies as well.Their ears are never tired of listening to deceptive/dissimulative words from the kingdom of darkness because it suits their evil practices.Jesus understood this graphically that He said in John 3:19 that '...and men loved darkness rather than light,because their deeds were evil' This shows that,if you love lies,you are in the darkness and will ultimately get lost.The more you fall in love with the devil's lies,the higher your rank in the school of satan.If you're a liar,you're indirectly a devil.
Jesus in John 14:6 declared openly saying '...I am the way,the truth,and the life....' Satan heard this when the declaration was made and that is why he uses all frantic efforts to delude people to a wrong way.The question is that 'are you following the way(Jesus)?'
  The master in John 8:44 said that 'He was a murderer from the beginning' The intent of the devil after deceiving you is to send you to eternal destruction.A wrong direction will certainly lead to a wrong destination.
   If all you listen to is the music from the devil,you're not on the right path.
On this note,it'll be wise enough to use 2Corin 2:11,Apostle Paul says 'Lest satan should get an advantage of us:for we are not ignorant of his devices' He's only looking for 'AN' advantage not 'advantages' but don't be ignorant that his way leads to eternal damnation.
The devil will take advantage of every failure of the christian using it to get into his life and cause his downfall(can you remember Judas Iscariot?)

   Jesus is the way, choose Him and reach your right destination!

THE GREATEST EXPECTATION OF JESUS

What is the greatest expectation of Jesus for you? Do you know it at all? Have you ever being informed at any point in your life time?
These're few questions that are rigidly germane to the discuss of this topic and as we go on,all will be made clear.
Without any atom of doubt,I'm pretty sure that some people will give me different answers with scriptural backings on this subject of discussion.Somebody may say that the expectation of Jesus for him/her is to be wealthy,successful,globally-known,winning awards and to be famous etcetera.Obviously,all these ones are part of His expectation for you, for he said that 'Occupy till I come...' And I sincerely want to believe that you want to occupy and subdue as well as accrues wealth to yourself.In fact,Deuteronomy 8:18 says that '..it's God that has given you power to make wealth to fulfil his convenant' Why won't you be wealthy as part of his expectation then?
However,recent study of the book of John 14 vs 3 revealed unto me the greatest expectation of Jesus for us.
The bible passage reads thus '...that where I am,there ye may be also' This bible passage graphically point out that Jesus is in anticipation to take those that believed in Him home and that was why he said that 'I will come again,and receive you unto myself..' that depicts that he is coming for a purpose and his expectation for coming back would be because of you and I so that we'll be where He's.He's pretty sure that the place is comfortable and that's why He wants us have a full taste of the place.To certainly point out to us that He will be expecting us,he never said 'Where I,ll be' but 'where I am' Can you see that?
Now,if he's coming to receive you but unfortunately you're missing,how will you feel? Happy or sad?
The question is that;will you still be standing in faith so as not to miss Him?
Brethren,to drive home this piece,let me use this simple analogy for clarity.Have you ever imagine yourself being made the chairman at a special occasion and your seat specially reserved but unfortunately you weren't able to make it to the program for an handful number of reasons.How do you think people that invited you'll feel?
That's what Jesus was saying in verse 3 of the passage that 'And if I go and prepare a place for you...' That means that the place is meant for you,you're a special guest of honour,He prepared it all for you and it'll be the greatest dissappointment to miss that specially prepared mansion that is reserved for you.
Brethren,endeavour to occupy your place in Heaven at all cost.Jesus in Mark 13:24 says " 'strive' to enter in at the strait gate(the gate that leads to your mansion)..."
It's my sincere prayer that the greatest expectation of Jesus would be fulfilled in your life IJN.And heaven will not be sorrowful because of you.

SOME STUPIDITY IN THE CHURCH OF GOD

I canot but address this pressing and alarming issue at this crucial hour of ours.And i don't know whether this unfortunate development in our churches is a function of technological advancement or unseriousness on the part of the youths in the church of God.Anyone you call it,stupidity is still stupidity,no any other name!
It saddens my heart seeing the youth of our days demonstrating stupidity of the highest order in our churches and they call it civilization,taking God as an old school Man.Right there,when sermons were going on in the church it is so surprisen seeing people sending themselves to hell fire by playing with their phones
The knowledge of pinging -blackberry users,has so much dominated the brain of many as if without it,they will not live.Turning God to their girl and boy friends,as if they are mate.You pinging while a sermon is going on and you claim to be a true worshipper in the church.who is deceiving who? God cannot be mocked.
To you 2go users,2go to hell is not far fetched,it is that same 2go that will 2go you their.And if many of you will make it worst,you will not off the sound,disturbing others dt are concentrated as if you are the first person to use 2go in your family.And if the devil will make it a great destruction for you,it is that time you will be seeing friends that will "Hi" you,then you will say i must reply them because they are important friends and through out the preaching you get nothing.In fact, many don't know when the sermon closes.And when they say let's pray,you bury down your head as if you are praying but in the stead you are 2going.who is deceiving who? God cannot be mocked.
To the facebook chat users.standing behind the pulpit,they said let's turn our bible to the "book of gospel according to st.Luke" that is when you open your own bible to facebook as if you are deaf and when they said "book of st.Luke" Are you playing with God? The pastor was reading from "book of st.luke" and you are chatting on facebook,clicking on your various friends as your own verses of the bible.who is deceiving who ? God cannot be mocked!
There are many other social medias like that,that take our attention away in the presence of God.
My brothers and sisters,this the right time we must be realistic in our sense of thought and forsake all these ungodly behaviour.What is now the place of silence that the bible was talking about in Habakkuk 2 vs 20b in us that....let all d earth keep silence before Him(GOD).If in the course of the service rapture occur,what will you be doing,pinging? 2going? Facebook chat? What is your essence of going to the church?If you are doing this,you are not better than unbelievers!
I must tell you the truth,heaven will not fall.change!
God cannot be mocked!

IF THE CHURCH MUST GROW

The topic sounds conditional and I'm pretty sure that you have answered it in your mind by providing the necessary steps that must be taken if the church will grow.Somebody may argue that the church is growing.The other may jump to conclusion that,the church must be spiritually rigid provided her growth will be ascertained.Well,am not too spiritual to understand that (lols...).
It's true that any church that will grow must be spiritual,and am not denying that fact.
However,there is an aspect of church growth that we never take a keen attention to eventhough,it's close to our nose but we've failed woefully to make it works.
No church is an exception in what I want to discuss,only that this degree of absurdity varies from one church to another.Abnormalities,indescency,immoral practices and so on are now the order of the day in our churches and it looks as if there is no end in sight.In all these,we seek for a stroke of magic to squirm out it.It'll be wise to say that no magic can wriggle us out of these evils parading itself in our churches.
Therefore,for the sake of this topic,let's delve into a bible passage to gain some altitude.
John 2:14,15 says
'And found in the temple those that sold Oxen and sheep and doves,and the changers of money sitting'
'And when he(Jesus) had made a small cords,he drove them all out of the temple....'
Jesus on his arrival to the temple was so astounded,seeing corrupt and evil practices swinging like a pendulum bob.He noticed that the essence for which the the church was established has been jeopardised.People were selling and buying,causing distractions and disturbing the order of the program in the temple.But are there no elders to halt these? There're elders but feel unconcerned!
Seeing these,the next verse help us see the action of Jesus towards these abnormalities.The bible says 'and when he had made a scourge...' the bible never say that 'he prayed'.Does He set up committees? 'Does He consulted the governing council of the church?' 'Does He gave them a notification before hand?' Not at all.Jesus made a scourge and after which the bible says '...he drove them out' Jesus took a lion step by going into action to rescue to church.He wasted no time in praying because he had discovered that the issue is less of prayer and more of action.
He doesn't fear what the Pharises would say because the passion(zeal) of his father's house has eaten him up.What a nice decision?
At this stage,I think we must be realistic in our sense of thoughts as a church and point out distractions disturbing the atmosphere of the church,after which actions are taken.But it is a pity that today's church is shying away from her responsibities for the fear of losing church members.Jesus was not concerned about how many people would shun the church because they were scourged.
If a sister wears dresses revealing her nakedness and accentuating her buttock,we must come to the point of telling her the truth instead of exercising the fear of what she'd say.And if it's a boy,he must not be protected.For example,on two several occasions two ladies sitting beside me in the church were 2going and pinging and I can't curtail it but spoke them to face on how wrong it's to be doing so.
Honestly,the church needs no waste time praying without action.Prayer will not work in building a sterile church if we fail correcting people doing such in love.
To bring this to a close,you and I made up the church so,it starts from us.Tell that brother/sister what's wrong about her/him but in love.Don't say it's your pastor that'll do it all,remember that Jesus was not among the church c'ttee.
If the church must grow,more of action and less of prayer must be involved.Take action today by correcting that sis/bro sitting next to u
